The whole trip took just under 1800 miles. For those of you in France that would be 2897 kilometers. We left Boulder Friday night, the 21st of November and returned home Sunday morning the 30th of November.

Our cabin in Ouray

Hannah trying to keep warm.

Spanky trying to keep warm too.

Telluride, CO

We took a gondola over the ski mountain in Telluride.

Our cabin at Mesa Verde.
We stayed 2 nights.

This butte was right across from our cabin.

Hannah & Spanky watching a movie.

Spruce house

We had a guided tour of Spruce house.

Barb and Hannah at Spruce house.

Cliff Palace. We did not get to walk around this one.

Another cliff dwelling. They were everywhere.

Tower house.

This is a reconstructed kiva. They believe they were for ceremonies.

A kiva with the roof removed. Note the upright stone. It's an air baffle to deflect the air from the hole in the wall away from the fire pit. Very clever.

Barb & Hannah at Four Corners.

Hannah "standing" in all four states.
Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, & Arizona

Spence & Hannah at Four Corners.

Our campsite at the Grand Canyon. It was very cold so the second night we got a hotel.

The Grand Canyon

Note the Colorado river in the center of the picture.

The canyon at sunset.

The girls on the rim.

This was a very cool building with a huge fireplace.

This is the new visitor center that our friend & neighbor (Todd Alexander) was the project manager.

More of the visitor center.

A butte on our way to Mounument Valley.

Monument Valley

Our cabin in Moab Utah.

Balance Rock in Arches National Park.

Double Arch.

Double Arch. Note Hannah & Barb in the center of the picture. It gives some scale to the size of these arches.

Delicate Arch.

It was a great trip. A lot of driving and very cold the whole time but it was fun.
